⚙️ Direct replacement for the Cruise Drive Harley-Davidson factory 6-speed, designed to add a reliable 7th gear for improved highway cruising and engine efficiency.
The 7th gear enables the motorcycle to make full use, by way of gear ratio management, of the torque and power put out by the 96 ci, 103 ci and 110 ci motors, delivering smoother sustained acceleration and lower RPM at speed.
Unlike the stock mainshaft which includes 1st through 4th gears, this lightweight design includes only the small 1st gear to minimize shift clunk, and features a shortened 1st gear with tightened ratios for continuous acceleration from 1st to 4th.
Shift smoothness is achieved by a new linear roller ball detent integrated into the supplied billet top cover.
Comes ready to slide into the bike with no case modifications, shimming of the gear set, or adjustments required.
The kit includes the 7th main drive gear, main drive gear bearing and seal to replace the 6th main, plus a polished door, door gasket, side cover gasket, top cover gasket and a self-adhesive side cover emblem.
The bearing door is manufactured from 6061-T6 aluminum and features wider bearings with retainer plates instead of stock snap rings; DD7 door bearings are 28% wider and use an F6F door bearing retainer plate for added durability.
ARP 12-point bolts for door, top cover and stock side cover, Baker re-cal box and leads are included.
This gear set reuses the stock shifter pawl and is proudly made in the USA.
