The Direct Drive 7-Speed Gear Set is a direct replacement for the Cruise Drive Harley-Davidson factory 6-speed, adding a dedicated seventh gear to better utilize the torque and power from 96 ci, 103 ci and 110 ci motors. 🔧⚙️

Unlike the stock mainshaft that carries multiple gears, the DD7 is lightweight and retains only the small 1st gear to minimize shift clunk. A shortened first gear and tightened engagement across the other gears provide smooth, continuous acceleration from 1st through 4th.

Shift smoothness is achieved with a new linear roller ball detent included with the supplied billet top cover. The kit is drop-in ready: no case modifications, shimming, or adjustments required.

The package replaces the 6th main with a 7th main drive gear and includes main drive gear bearing and seal, a polished bearing door, door gasket, side cover gasket, top cover gasket, and a self-adhesive DD7 side cover emblem.

The bearing door is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and uses wider bearings and bearing retainer plates instead of the stock snap rings; DD7 door bearings are 28% wider than stock. Made in the U.S.A.
