This high-volume oil pump increases oil pressure and flow to improve lubrication, scavenging and overall engine operation for quieter, smoother performance and lower operating temperatures.
Independent test results show approximately 2 horsepower and 2 ft·lbs of torque gain to the rear wheel on M‑Eight engines, plus 10–30 lbs additional oil pressure and as much as a 50% reduction in sump oil level.
The design enlarges pump reservoirs and critical passages and matches camplate portholes to the engine case to increase oil flow to lifters, piston cooling jets and bearings. Relief valves are bench-tested to seat at a minimum of 30 psi with full pop-off at 55–60 psi.
Bench testing and properly sized passages make increased oil volume and pressure essential for reliable oiling system function; an optional camplate and fastener kit is available separately.
