Hundreds of downloadable maps are available so you can load the map that matches your bike's model, engine size, exhaust system and intake; the integral auto-tune then continually adjusts the air/fuel ratio in closed-loop operation for optimal performance and rideability.
The software enables live monitoring, recording and detailed datalog analysis, including starts, engine temperature and rpm, and it displays diagnostic codes for troubleshooting. Riders can also adjust idle speed, rev limit and speedometer calibration.
Works with most popular exhaust systems and high-performance camshafts, and supports turbo, nitrous and supercharger applications. No dyno tuning required, and new maps, software and firmware updates are available online at no charge.
Installation is straightforward: replace the factory ECM, install the oxygen sensors and harness, load the correct map for your bike, and ride. Will not work on trikes with traction control.
ThunderMax modules use wide-band 18 mm O2 sensors; users may need to weld-in 18 mm bungs in the stock head pipe 3"–4" from the cylinder heads on both front and rear. Technical support and free updates are provided online. 🇺🇸
