The Single-Fire Electronic Ignition System delivers all the features of the famous Dyna "S", plus the special ability to fire the front and rear cylinders independently for much more accurate timing for each cylinder.

The stock ignition fires both cylinders at the same time; while that works for the front cylinder, the rear receives the "wasted" spark during its intake stroke, which can cause harder starting, increased vibration, backfire and raw fuel being spit back into the carburetor — all of which reduce power.

Dyno and top-speed testing have shown dramatic power improvements throughout the rev range, with bikes fitted with hotter cams seeing the most pronounced gains.

If you want to extract the most from a stock, mildly modified, or fully customized Harley-Davidson, the Dyna "S" single-fire ignition produces a measurable difference in performance and rideability.

Not recommended for use with OEM coils; this unit must be used with special Dyna coils. A tach adapter is required when using an electric tach. Not for fuel-injected models.
