Race Series® Camchest Kit

Designed for riders and builders seeking race-proven performance, the Race Series® Camchest Kit delivers durable, high-flow components tuned for big-bore oil-cooled V-twins. This complete kit includes the 487 Reaper® chain drive camshaft, cam installation hardware, Race Series® lifters, a one-piece pushrod, Race Series® oil pump, high-flow camplate and ARP rocker studs and nuts. ⚙️

• 487 Reaper® camshaft with 38° overlap and an effective rpm range of 2,250–6,100 rpm (measured @ 0.050" using a 1.61 rocker ratio)
• Cam installation kit with cam bearing, cam/crank hardware and gasket/O-ring kit for complete fitment
• Race Series® full-travel hydraulic lifters, machined steel with 0.200" travel
• One-piece HP+ pushrod: 7/16" diameter tube, 0.165" wall, precision concentricity, heat-treated with black oxide finish
• Race Series® high-flow oil pump with 2.250" chrome-moly gerotor gears and magnets to protect gears and the pressure relief valve
• High-flow camplate engineered for rear-wheel power gains up to ~2 hp and 2 ft-lb of torque

Performance benefits

The kit responds very well to increased bore and/or compression, maintains bottom-end power and pulls hard above 2,950 rpm compared to stock. The high-flow pump and matched passages increase pressure and scavenge volume, reduce wet sumping and blow-by, and lower engine and oil temperatures—resulting in more consistent oil pressure and improved reliability for track or high-performance street use. 🔧
