The 585 Easy Start Camshaft Kit reduces crank compression at startup to make the engine easier to crank, then the compression release lobe is centrifugally retracted as RPM increases so the engine runs with full compression and no loss of performance.

Designed for 88–106 CID engines with compression ratios from 9.7:1 to 10.5:1 and for 106–124 CID engines with compression ratios from 9.0:1 to 10.0:1.

Delivers substantial horsepower and torque increases beginning at 3000 rpm and holding steady to redline. Typical usable powerbands are about 3500–6000 rpm for smaller big‑twin engines and 2200–5000 rpm for larger displacements.

Bolt‑in kit includes camshafts, gearcover gasket, bearings, retaining ring, o‑ring, thread lock and instructions, and a 4‑gear set. Due to the inherent characteristics of gear drives, some additional valve‑train noise may be present.

Installer must check coil bind, valve‑to‑valve clearance and valve‑to‑piston clearance. Not for models with OEM compression releases. Made in the USA.
