583 Easy Start Camshaft Kit 🔧⚙️

This kit allows easier starting by temporarily reducing crank compression; once the engine reaches running speed the compression release lobe is centrifugally retracted so the engine runs with full compression and without loss of performance.

• Optimized as an overall camshaft for Softail and Dyna models, but usable in any Big Twin.
• Delivers strong low-end torque and horsepower, with peak effectiveness from 1500 rpm to 5000 rpm.
• Bolt-in design for direct installation.
• Includes camshafts, gearcover gasket, bearings, retaining ring, o-ring, thread lock and instructions, plus a 4-gear set.

Installer requirements: check coil bind, valve-to-valve clearance and valve-to-piston clearance before final assembly.

Not for models with OEM compression releases. Not recommended for compression ratios of 10.0:1 or greater.

Due to the inherent characteristics of gear drives, there may be more valve train noise.
