This Alternate Length Designer Series front brake line kit is engineered for Harley-Davidson motorcycles equipped with ABS and follows OEM routing for direct compatibility with ABS controllers.
- Kit includes a direct-fit lower assembly designed to be used with alternative length upper lines.
- Brake lines use PTFE inner tubing with DuPont™ Kevlar® aramid fiber and premium braided reinforcement plus an outer PVC jacket to minimize expansion and protect finish.
- Braid color and weave match corresponding control cables and lines; the clear outer jacket resists scuffing and will not discolor.
- Upper, lower, mid-line and adapter kits are sold separately to ensure correct fitment for each application.
- Assembled in the USA.
Fitment notes:
- Single disc Dyna and Sportster models require two kits: one upper and one lower.
- Softail models typically use three kits (except '18+ dual disc), with the lower being optional on all models. Upper kits are required for handlebar changes; some '11 - '17 Softail applications use an optional lower kit that includes an adapter.
- Dual disc Touring models use three kits: upper, mid and lower. Trike models use two kits: upper and mid-line; no lower is available for many trike applications.
Installation and measurement guidance:
- Harley-Davidson motorcycles equipped with ABS require ABS-specific upper and lower brake line kits to maintain anti-lock braking performance.
- Upper line length for Softail, Dyna and '14+ Sportster models is determined using the stock OE master cylinder brake line as a guide; pull the rubber boot back and measure from where the flexible line enters the crimp collar, then follow the routing up to the master cylinder.
- For Touring and Trike models use the 49" mid-line as a reference to determine additional upper line length needed to complete routing from the ABS controller to the master cylinder.
- Non-stock applications require measuring upper brake line length and banjo angle to ensure correct fitment.
