This vented dipstick vents and breathes excessive crankcase pressure from the oil tank through a PCV-style breather. It uses an oil separator system with a perforated disc, a replaceable filter element and an umbrella flapper valve to reduce blowby and help maintain cleaner oil levels. 🛠️
- Screws into the factory oil fill spout as a direct replacement.
- Blowby is pressure forced past the rings and cylinders into the crankcase and then into the oil tank; this system separates oil from gases to limit sump loss.
- Fueling tests show reduced oil sump loss, smoother revving, and improved MPG when blowby is controlled.
- Removes unwanted build-up of blowby pressure in the oil tank.
- Two ways to read hot oil level: FHS (Full Hot Stand) with the bike on the jiffy stand, or FHU (Full Hot Upright) with the bike upright and level.
- Includes two venting options: option 1 — 1/8 NPT breather vent fitting with internal porous filter element; option 2 — quick-disconnect coupler with rubber hose and filter element.
- Recommended hot oil level: 90%–99% full when hot.
- Note: the oil pickup port is on the right side of the engine; warming the bike on the kickstand can skew tank level readings.
