The 412's five position cam-style spring load preload adjuster lets you easily dial in your ride. Heavy duty applications are recommended for bikes that operate near the manufacturer's maximum load rating over 50% of the time.

• All shocks are measured center-of-eyelet to center-of-eyelet.
• Multiple style options are available, including full show-chrome or black covers, or chrome or black springs and end caps.
• A shock slightly longer or shorter than stock may alter head angle and change steering response.

Before purchasing or attempting to install shocks that differ from OEM length, confirm that your wheel travel and clearances (swingarm/axle to exhaust, chain/belt guard, tire contact) will not be affected. When installing shocks on '86-'15 XL models, it may be necessary to modify or space the chain/belt guard to allow proper clearance.
