The 412 Series shocks are designed specifically for Harley models, providing a simple, durable and cost-effective improvement to your motorcycle's suspension performance.

The five-position cam-style spring preload adjuster lets you easily dial in your ride. All shocks are measured center-of-eyelet to center-of-eyelet. Some or all shocks listed are approved for road use; refer to the most recent certificate for current listing.

There are multiple style options available, including full show-chrome or darker finishes, and choices of springs and end caps. When installing on '86-'15 XL models, it may be necessary to modify or space the chain/belt guard to allow proper clearance.

A shock that is slightly longer than stock may alter head angle slightly and provide somewhat quicker steering; a slightly shorter shock may provide somewhat slower steering. For bikes operated near the manufacturer's maximum load rating, consider applications rated for frequent heavy use. Before purchasing or installing shocks of a different length than OEM, confirm wheel travel and clearance to avoid swingarm/axle to exhaust contact, and chain/belt guard or tire interference.
