The revolutionary design decreases valve float and valve-train harmonics while maintaining quiet operation, and reduces the oil volume inside the lifter to minimize aeration on steep, fast-action high-lift cam lobes.
When oil aeration occurs, the pushrod seat can drop as the lifter rolls onto the cam lobe ramp, causing noise and poor performance; the short-travel design and slower bleed-down rate help prevent that behavior. Set lifters with 0.065" - 0.070" of pre-load so normal thermal growth places operating pre-load near half travel.
Machined from steel with a precision ground needle roller bearing and high-chromium axle, plus a high-flow disc-style check valve, these lifters are Spin-Tron dyno developed and track proven.
