The Rim Strip protects inner tubes on spoke-type wheels. It fits over the wheel rim to prevent spoke nipples from contacting and damaging the tube. For use on spoke type wheels that use a tube; to avoid damage to the tube by spoke nipples, the rim tape must be installed so the spoke nipples are completely covered.
