A patented low-friction coating is applied to the inner surface of the main EPS liner to reduce rotational acceleration from oblique impacts, creating a slip plane that mimics cerebrospinal fluid.
The visor release system is engineered to release at a predetermined force to help reduce neck loads during an impact. Ventilation is maximized with ten inlets and seven exhaust ports for efficient heat transfer.
Shell composition (by percent): 48% acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, 20% polyurethane, 16% polystyrene (EPS), 6% polypropylene, 4% polyvinyl chloride, 2% ethylene-vinyl acetate, 2% steel, 1% expanded polypropylene, 1% polyamide.
