Surface curvature reduces friction during impacts to help transfer energy away from the skull and neck, improving rotational acceleration and oblique-impact performance.
The shell sizing system provides an appropriate shell size for each fit size to optimize comfort, reduce weight, and enhance protective effectiveness. A soft EPS liner extends beyond the shell and is covered by a flexible rubber compound to lower the risk of collarbone injury.
Equipped with MIPS® multi-directional impact protection, removable semi-soft polymer side pads to help spread impact energy, an A-Head fitment system for easy angle and height adjustment, and an eject helmet removal capability for controlled extraction.
Ultra-ventilated with 28 intake and exhaust ports (18 intakes, 10 exhausts), the design also includes an Emergency Release System (ERS) for visor removal and extension, plus a sculpted chin-bar relief to clear the collarbone.
