Lightweight off-road helmet with multi-density liner, emergency-release cheek pads, Silverplus® removable washable liner, integrated hydration channels and enhanced ventilation.
The SM5 Sail Helmet pairs a lightweight, impact-resistant thermoplastic outer shell with a side shell coupled to soft EPS foam to help protect the collarbone in the event of a crash.
Inner and outer surfaces are engineered to minimize the effects of oblique impacts, and a multiple-density inner liner provides correct density where it’s needed for enhanced impact absorption.
An emergency release system and removable cheek pads allow safe removal while the helmet remains on, and 3D contoured foam improves rider comfort.
The removable comfort liner features Silverplus® treated anti-bacterial fabrics for excellent moisture wicking; the anti-microbial liner is removable and washable, and hydration tube channels are integrated into the cheek pads for convenience.
Safety details include a soft textile chin strap (26 mm) wider than certification requirements and stainless steel D-rings for a secure fit, plus a patented visor release system that releases with a predetermined force to protect against impact.
Maximized ventilation comes from multi-air inlets and exhaust ports, and the visor is designed to direct airflow into the ports; construction materials include acrylonitrile-butadiene-styren, polystyrene (EPS), polyurethane, nylon, polypropylene, PVC, thermoplastic elastomer, steel and other components. 🏍️
