Race Series® Camchest Kit with Short Travel Lifters delivers high-volume oiling, reduced valve-train harmonics and proven dyno gains for M-Eight engines. 🏁 The billet 7075 aluminum oil pump is 50% harder and stronger than stock and holds tighter tolerances under temperature for consistent pressure and durability.
Key performance improvements include:
- Short travel hydraulic lifters with 0.115" total travel to reduce valve float while keeping a quiet valvetrain
- 30% more pressure gear volume and up to 53% more scavenge gear volume on M-Eight Twin-Cooled motors
- 27% more pressure and scavenge gear volume for M-Eight Oil-Cooled motors, plus matched passages for 42% more scavenge volume
- 68% more oil volume directed to crankshaft and connecting rod bearings, reducing wet sumping and blowby
- Lower engine and oil temperatures (typically 15°–30° cooler) and 10–30 psi higher oil pressure depending on application
- Magnets in the oil pump to help protect gears and the pressure relief valve
Test results show a typical gain of 2 hp and 2 ft·lb of torque to the rear wheel on M-Eight engines, and Feuling tests indicate a 50% reduction in engine sump oil level.
