The thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) lower shell features an innovative shifter area with dedicated left and right designs for reduced front roll and improved shift control. A reinforced toe zone and a metal shank add impact and abrasion resistance while maintaining structural integrity.
A medial and lateral double pivot system, low profile ankle pivots and a contoured TPU calf protector combine to improve flexibility, precision control and rider comfort. Shock-absorbing inserts in the front bellow and added padding on the ankles and shin plate increase impact absorption.
Closure is achieved with polymer buckles mounted to an aluminum frame with self-aligning, quick-release receivers for a secure, customizable fit. The strap holder and self-aligning buckle receiver reduce excessive rotation while the soft microfiber gaiter helps seal out water and dirt.
Under the foot peg area an innovative wear limit indicator exposes a red layer when the sole needs replacing; the structure beneath is surrounded by a Kevlar® layer for added protection. A one-piece, dual-compound vulcanized rubber sole offers durability and is replaceable. 🔧
